Research shows that if an apprentice’s experience of the job and the workplace basically meets their expectations and if the boss treats them fairly and honestly, then they feel like they are getting a fair deal. They are then willing to put up with the less appealing aspects of the apprenticeship, like low pay, low status or repetitive work in order to complete their qualification. Those that are dissatisfied with ‘the deal’ are much less likely to stay.
You're on the right track, but might need some help to be better prepared for taking on an apprentice.
